KJM Design
Kathy Jacomini Masterson Allied ASID Member is the youngest daughter of Beverly Jacomini. Growing up under the roof of an eminent Houston Interior Designer, Kathy was bound for a career in Design. She studied at the University of Texas, like her mother. In 1996, Kathy joined Jacomini Interior Design, Inc. Kathy has designed projects for clients in River Oaks, Bermuda, Round Top, Cat Springs, Austin, Santa Fe and Galveston. Her work has appeared in "Coastal Living" with the Bermuda Project. Kathy's energetic style has all the integrity of her Mother's tutelage, but with her own fresh flare of Interior Design.
Kathy’s approach to designing the common areas at Highland was that she wanted to make Highland Tower different from everything else out there. Kathy is interested in design that will stand the test of time, something that you will not ever tire of. She wanted the design to be pleasing to the eye, nothing jarring would do. People need to feel comfortable in a common area, not anxiety-ridden. The lounge color theme was based on a Chinese print that Mr. Bland really liked. All of the colors were soothing. The private dining is simply an extension of the lounge. For the pool, Scott Ziegler and Kathy wanted to use the modern Tropitone look with light upholstery, which always makes for a beautiful pool/outdoor grill environment! The Reception was a simple, modern, clean vision. A place to sit and relax, with attractive modern furniture to enjoy.

The philosophy of Chandos Interiors is to provide unique and luxurious rooms that are timeless and sophisticated. In addition to high-end residential projects, Chandos Interiors also creates high-end commercial spaces as well.
Chandos Dodson has been working in the field of interior design for over a decade. Her firm, Chandos Interiors was established in 2000. Chandos is an alumna of the University of Texas at Austin school of architecture and has worked for several of Architectural Digest’s top 100 design firms. Chandos was just named as one of the “Top 20 Next Wave of Designers to Watch” by House Beautiful. (December/January 2010)
